Wed Night Church & Skating Canceled Tonight

I know many of you are suffering badly from cabin fever and are dying to get out but unfortunately, our entire church parking lot is covered in at least 2inches ICE and so we have canceled all church activities for tonight (Wed December 29th).

Also, The Carney's are BOTH sick and because of this we will have to cancel the girls skating night scheduled for Thursday December 30th. Please pray for them!

For the curious the Mackey's are doing well and surviving after the birth of their 3rd daughter: Sydney Noelle Mackey. She was born right on her due date-December 1st- and weighed in at 7lbs and 11oz. We've been laying low and trying to give mom as much rest as possible.

But I'm back in action for most of this week. Tomorrow (12/12/10) begins our Toy Delivery for Out Reach For Christ.
Teens will need the help of their families to deliver packages of toys to children in need. All you need is a car, a map or GPS, and a smile on your face. The packages are already at the church and labeled correctly.

If you are interested in helping just stay after church for a few minutes to sign out a package of toys.

We would love for you and your family to take part in this great Christmas Ministry.

Guys Skeet Shooting

Just a reminder that Wednesday (Dec 1st) is the last day to sign up for the Guys Skeet Shooting Event.

We are going Saturday December 4th at 7:00am. Cost is $10. This is open to all guys (ages 10 and up). They will also be cooking out for lunch after they are done on the range.

Teens and Children must have a signed permission slip or be accompanied by their parent.

The GIRLS are having a day out Thursday November 11th from 10:30am-1:00pm.

The girls will be meeting with beauty consultants from Macy's and receiving a make over, make-up tips, and some make up samples.

Please contact Mrs. Dusty by THIS Sunday (Nov 7th) if you are going to come. Macy's needs a final count in order to do this.

In typical guy fashion we had a little friendly competition between the lanes. All I can say is that pictures are in order of awesome to most awesomest:





Nevin (despite his silly face) was crowned Bowling King of the Night! He racked up 230 points in the first game ALONE!

Disciple Now

Don't forget registration for Disciple Now is coming to an end soon. You've got until Sunday October 30th to have your registration and money ($25)turned in.

Disciple Now (DNOW) is a two day retreat like event for teens. This is an over night event that begins on a Friday and concludes Saturday Night. If you have ever been to camp it is like doing a "mini-camp".

We are working with about 12 other churches in the area. We've got an amazing weekend planned and we are expecting God to do GREAT things.

Just a reminder we STILL need teens to help with our Garage Sale Giveaway. Currently our church is filled with all kinds of goodies that people have donated! Tomorrow we will be taking these items out to our parking lot to GIVEAWAY for FREE!

Come be a part of the most amazing giveaway Virginia Beach has ever seen!

Teens are needed early in the morning to help in the following areas:
Set up team- around 8:30am

Sorting team-anytime between 9am-2pm. Help sort clothes and greet people.

Take down team- 2pm-4pm we need people to help clean up and if we have any left over items we will take them to various ministries to be donated.

Manhunt tonight after bible study-it's sure to be more fun than a barrel full of star nose moles.


Also, one of your fellow teens has recently started an organization to help children and teens in need with clothes and she will be telling you guys more about it tonight. She will also be taking up donations to help some local kids who need clothes before school starts--so if you've got some extra cash and want to help some folks out bring it tonight.

Don't forget the CROSSOVER is this Sunday after church. The CROSSOVER is an event we do each year to help welcome our new 6th grade students into the youth ministry. Youth are needed to help plan activities and serve. If you haven't already talked with Daniel do so before Sunday so you can help out!

Check out Trip Lee's new video for his song called "Invasion (Hero)". The song is AMAZING and will leave you singing the chorus all day long.

While the video is a little strange, it gives an idea of what the future could be like-who knows? It will definitely spark up a conversation. The main point is a Hero is coming and this song is incredible!

VBS & Water Games

BIG THANKS to everyone who helped out Monday Night with our VBS preview night. You guys did an awesome job!! We are going out tonight and can still use a few good teens who are ready to have some fun and love on these kids.

Leaving the church at 5:30pm and we'll be back just in time for youth.

After bible study we've got some amazing water games planned so come out and join us!
